In the latest version of the map, I only got one Phoenix instead of one each day... It's not a big deal, but I felt it was my duty to inform the author.

Didn't it seem to you that at most, a pair of Phoenixes could hatch from one egg?) And definitely not a whole horde. The appearance of a Phoenix every day is a bug; I fixed it, and now there's a maximum of 1 Phoenix per egg.

I failed the Phoenix egg quest. The message that the hermit died appears every turn. Has anyone else encountered this?
And another problem, which was mentioned earlier. The battle with the yellow player's Castle doesn't start.

I checked the map - when needed, you can interact with the yellow Castle. Can you describe your actions in more detail, after which the ability to attack the yellow Castle was lost?
