Six months is a long time.

Is there a way to defeat Jela with a red orb and a sniper bow earlier? I mean, with a smaller army. I'm not a pro, but it seems like the damage was already less than needed, so I had to wait for several morale boosts/lucky breaks. Or is there a way to build an army with equivalent damage in a couple of months?
This isn't sarcasm. I'm genuinely interested in what experienced players think. Maybe there are other, more original ways that I don't know about. I don't have that much experience, so I'd be happy to listen to any advice. :)
