What needs to be done with the mechanisms to get to the castle? There was something about a skeleton and a note near it. But my skeleton is inactive. I approach it, and nothing happens.

The skeleton was probably activated, but you didn't notice. A copy of the text is saved in the hero's notebook.
If you understand the skeleton's note correctly, you need to press 4 levers, either clockwise or counterclockwise (I don't remember exactly). You should press them from one of the lower levers, again, I don't remember which one.
