Bukowski's translations don't quite match the original. From a technical standpoint, there are definitely enough errors.
And when it comes to translation, sometimes it's better to do it yourself or put it into your own words. Because a literal translation isn't always correct in terms of meaning – we have different phrases, word combinations, and ways of expressing ourselves. And what an English-speaking American understands immediately might seem absurd to us, and vice versa.
Once, I translated a map created by a Chinese person and written in English... It would have been better to rewrite everything in my own words, but there were too many phrases that seemed absurd from our point of view, and to insert the text into the game, I couldn't shift lines, separators, etc.
