The funniest thing is that no matter what anyone says about height, if you meet someone who satisfies you in every way (except for this minor detail), it doesn't matter anymore. You don't even have to take off your heels. Provided, of course, that you are a reasonable person.
Well, that's why I wrote that it's not such a common phenomenon. I've only encountered the "if you're shorter than a certain height, you're out" attitude on dating sites.
By the way, I also knew several short girls who eventually tied the knot with guys taller than 180 cm. One of them even said that she did it "for good genetics" (she had a son with him and they got divorced).
There are such cases, yes. Although not everyone is like that, of course. One of my short acquaintances, for example, has a husband who is about 170 cm tall, and she genuinely wonders when the topic of height comes up.
