They replied that it is possible to use content in non-commercial mods within the universe created by Ubi! That is, from Heroes of Might and Magic VI and VII into Heroes of Might and Magic V, or from Heroes of Might and Magic V and VI into Heroes of Might and Magic VII, or from Heroes of Might and Magic V and VII into Heroes of Might and Magic VI... I didn't ask about Dark Messiah, but it's clearly the same here!
