Well, you can easily deal 1500+ damage with Ice Shard at level 20, or you can barely manage 2000 with Earth Shock at level 40 – it all depends on how you play and how you develop your character... We weren't all born knowing how to play... Let the person learn, ask questions, and show interest. Why scold them for that?
