The fact that they earn money doesn't change anything. By the time you gather even 500 of them, they'll field 500 of the same Dryads, which will fight much more effectively. Peasants have no advantages except for a tiny income.

You guys are something else... Because peasants generate money (not that small – my peasants sometimes bring in over 1000 a day), you'll be able to train extra Paladins who will crush and not even notice your Dryads. Peasants are useful; they shouldn't be used in combat, they need to be protected...
