The respawn turned out to be quite extensive. Despite this, there was almost nothing interesting on it — a mini-ulik and an external dwelling of harpies far from the road, which I never captured. However, there were plenty of resources, gold was fine. Also a bunch of stat boosters and several experience stones.
Down below, scouting led to a citadel zone adjacent to the opponent's respawn. I killed his horseman, did minimal scouting on his respawn.
By the end of the first week, the main had the first 4 tiers built in the citadel, a level 2 Mage Guild, and upgraded air elementals.
Nagash necro'd ~100 skeletons, got Earth magic at 122. Decided to go to the upper-left adjacent zone on grass — turned out to be a Castle. The adjacent zone is similar in content to my respawn, but richer: plenty of money, another mini-ulik, a dwarf dwelling, as well as exits to an underground and an above-ground treasure zone. I didn't go into either, although the underground had a decent box for 5-9 titans.
On the second week, strong logistic heroes arrived: Deesa and Kyrre, though I didn't use them properly in the game. Ciele was leveling up, soon picked up Earth magic.
Very lucky with spells — found Animate Dead in a scroll, learned Anti-Magic from a shrine. Later, thanks to Anti-Magic, I saved my main, who had overextended with 7 air elementals, from Solmyr.
At the end of the second — beginning of the third week, I ran down towards the citadel held by the opponent. On the last move, I captured an empty town with a horseman, slightly below I revealed boots and a town portal for movement, a naga bank, above — a stable.
Managed to kill Solmyr on first speed with a horseman, getting the Cloak of the Undead King (+4 Knowledge), and then bounced off another hero of the opponent.
Ciele finished leveling Earth magic, Grindan arrived.
At the citadel respawn, I picked up two uliks and headed for the underground treasure zone. There I found several more hives, boxes for 15 King Minotaur and for the entire 4th tier, KV on Earth behind cyclopes (took them down with Animate Dead). Essentially, full control + a ton of spells and a powerful army (15 minotaurs, ~35 harpies, ~600 skeletons, my core force of air and water elementals). By that point, Nagash had Expert Earth and Air, ~200 mana with Intelligence, and Water was being leveled. I decided to Town Portal to the citadel, replenish mana, and meanwhile continue scouting the underground.
On the next turn, I see Crag Hack running out of the underground deep into my respawn. He had a couple of angels, 100+ skeletons, and his native army. At that moment, we saved the game due to lack of time, but the opponent later decided to concede without a finale.
Thanks for the game!
