The HD mod + HW rules are almost perfect in terms of gameplay; all that's missing is fixing the generator's bugs (while preserving the gameplay) and improving the interface's usability. Anything else leads to degradation.

And what has stopped you from implementing all of this so far? Why haven't you fixed the generator's bugs and improved the interface's usability yet?

Using it in this form in default tournaments is another major blow to the Heroes community, much to the delight of the haters.

What is this cheap grandstanding? Let me reveal a little secret: the real blow to the Heroes community was the original developer ceasing development of the game. This forced individual enthusiasts to offer their ideas and developments. Some of them have taken root over time, while others have been discarded.
The biggest blow to the Heroes community is the suggestion to just sit around and do nothing.
I played with the fresh mod. If we had it a couple of years earlier, maybe we wouldn't have seen such an exodus from HotA.
The only wish, but probably difficult to implement at this stage, is that the restructuring should not be done on an entire level, but rather as it is implemented in HotA; otherwise – and this is the only thing I can agree with Davos on – the shrines and scrolls are almost completely devalued. In WoG, scrolls were replaced with gold, corresponding to the level of the scroll. Although, what am I talking about... WoG's mindless degenerate...
Does anyone still have the discs for Era of Chaos, Armageddon's Blade, and SoD? And also a CD drive... And a Pentium 200...
