Nothing will change. I can only suggest adjusting the saturation/brightness on your monitor. On many modern displays, it is artificially set to an absurdly high level. Some systems also have the option to configure profiles for specific applications. The color of the landscape is as pale as it can be while still preserving its visual concept. Compared to its version from the April demo of the Factory, it has become significantly less saturated. At the same time, quite a few people still play the second part (and the H3SW mod), and no one has gone blind. I'm not even too lazy to post illustrations: demo > current version > second game.
