Despite the aggressive promotion (not directly, but through certain channels), the film turned out to be quite good. The reason is simple – it's a dark and gritty film, and Russian dark and gritty films always do well. After all, it's all REAL LIFE, THAT'S HOW IT IS, THAT'S HOW LIFE IS. At the same time, the film features rather poor acting, it's too long, and unfortunately, the ending was disappointing (although it wasn't a complete disaster). Nevertheless, it's a decent film to watch if you suddenly miss Russian dark and gritty films. I didn't even realize it, but after watching the film, I realized that I was missing that kind of content.
The scene with the Chechens turned out really well.
