Perhaps the victory condition for saving the angels is tied to some script. In that case, it's best to remove the script or the components of the quest.

It would have been better not to mess with the save file or the map at all. Just change the secondary victory conditions in the rules (use hero experience points for this, for example). In the tournament assignment: kill the AI opponents. So what if the game doesn't end and doesn't show the score? No one is stopping you from submitting a winning save file where the last AI opponent disappears. We can see the completion time and the secondary criteria for determining the winner. It was obvious. Well, never mind, what's done is done. Let's move on ;)
