Well, that's a question for the game designers, not me... I wouldn't mind seeing the vampires' level increased, but with their regeneration ability, it would be completely overpowered; that is, their sixth level would be even better than the seventh... But as it is, they're weak fourth-level units, which doesn't really match the imposing appearance of the Great Black Rune Sword... But that's more of a general issue with the anime-style graphics (just think of the non-functional former archangel's sword or the devil's mace) – everything is exaggerated and not very functional...
