Artifacts in Might & Magic VII.

The main thing is not to despair. If the dragon doesn't have the artifact you need, just load the autosave before entering the cave and kill it again. Eventually, you'll find an artifact to your liking. By the way, I had several saves with artifacts picked up after the battle, and then I would choose which one I liked best.
Or you can simply save before the corpse of the killed beast, before clicking on it with the mouse. If I remember correctly, when loading the save, the "contents" of the corpse will change.:rolleyes:

I'm not despairing either:D Especially since I did manage to finish the eighth game, I abandoned the sixth, and now I'm playing the seventh:rolleyes: And I know about saving before the corpse. Right now, I'm methodically exterminating the Stronghold of Titans in Avalon, saving/reloading after each corpse (yes, it's tedious, and it takes two to three hours of real time for two or three titans/dragons, but I'm stubborn:). And by the way, I also save each fallen artifact and then choose - so we're both the same:D) I found the Odysseus Bow, which is called Ulysses by Booki, but as far as I understand, the sandals drop in a specific location.
