Absolute sweatfest.
At first, everything was going as usual.
On the plus side: I was given earth magic for Vidomka and Aislin right away, but slow was missing, and I couldn't implement earth quickly somehow. Then, by a miracle, it finally appeared in one of the scrolls just before taking max Tower, and things finally started to move forward. Eternal problems with wood, not enough sulfur; I started building the tower later than I would have liked. Soon, the Dungeon AI finds a TP shrine, and just as I start thinking about how to properly direct Vidomka there after the Dragon Utopia, they give me a TP on my first one=) This was extremely pleasant because I was forced to break through the main anyway—there's animate there—and the plan was to go for the Dragon Utopia. So, in the excitement, I immediately smashed through a hundred Nixies to enter a super treasure zone, which didn't actually please me much in the end: no Dragon Utopia, no beautiful relics, just standard one-zone filler for power-leveling; in short, nothing that strongly motivates a player to go to this semblance of a "center."
The 2nd one turned out to be mediocre; although I got boots, the rest was money) Then the 5th floor is built, there's fly, max Dragon Utopia is taken, and in the distance, a scene unfolds with an enemy Gundula entering the super treasure zone—10-19 angels are glowing... This throws me off course; I expect a quick finale, while meanwhile they rebuild into Impls, and there was a temptation to "stop exploring," because it's problematic to kill me with Impls and animate: Vidomka also grabbed intelligence, so there are no mana problems.
But the opponent doesn't think about going straight into a fight; instead, they business-like take boots with a necklace for -2 morale and ride off into the sunset. Accordingly, for me to attack on fly alone (ah, I forgot to mention, in the second Dragon Utopia, besides armor and helm 4/4, I also got wings) is a mediocre prospect, but I'm still waiting for some active moves from the opponent, and the tavern says the Red player has more troops—basically, the builders in the tower took a short vacation from work)
This period, it must be noted, was extremely stifling: the opponent takes any objects with spoons, while I can only do so with Vidomka or Aislin, and even for the latter, mana needs to be monitored. The thing is, 4 birds were somehow spent on acceleration, and a stack of high-speed units was out of the question; moreover, 2 angels were eaten in max Dragon Utopia in one round.
In general, progress stalled; I realized the opponent wasn't rushing, and tower construction resumed. Sooner or later, on the 5th attempt, I finally get DD and become competitive in long-distance warfare. No luck with cons—only minimums—and due to a lack of fast units, I stupidly lose bones, which is aggravated by time pressure.
Finally, archangels appear in the tavern; I assume this stack is lethal and start gathering any power possible, ignoring morale.
Fortunately, Alamar is looted, and somehow clumsily I manage to break him, build him up, and teach everyone a lesson, while also swapping spells with Dimer.
Lastly, in this game, in the treasure zone I scouted, I get the ring necessary for Elik, take a wonderful Dragon Utopia for stats, and Vidomka settles in tightly for the night. Fire is pumped up for berserk, ducks with bones are upgraded, amplifiers with cloak of silence are present, and although the opponent has almost 30 archangels with a horde of wyverns, the woman, after visiting six libraries, holds her own perfectly.
During the next turn, the opponent surrenders: he really had terrible luck with Dragon Utopias.
