Ark and I started off well, quite evenly matched, and we both sought to explore the map. I managed to leave my starting area through a portal near my kingdom, and a few days later Ark also left his area and, by coincidence, arrived in the same region as me. Since I was closer to my kingdom, I managed to return and prepare for what would be our first battle. I invested all the gold I had saved up to build the Capitol into my army and sought the battle with a numerical army advantage, even knowing that Ark had more magic. I forced Ark to surrender and then focused on exploration to try to compensate for the investment in creatures and build the Capitol. I felt stronger because of the battle, and in no time I had bought 7 Giants and 16 Nagas. I predicted that Ark's economy would be in shambles due to the surrender, so I rushed to attack him at his castle. Bitter taste of defeat — this time it was I who surrendered. I sought new sources of income and found 2 more towns, a gold bag, and a gold mine. With enough time, I strengthened my economy and invested in magic to close the power gap where Ark was stronger. Then came DD, and during exploration I managed to complete the artifact that restores all mana daily. Capitalized, I bought the entire available army, positioned myself for DD and a quick offensive to take the undefended castle, and finally, I waited at the castle for its former owner to return. The walls that once defeated me were now my advantage, my strength, and were on my side.
