I think the issue is more about something else. Cases with "amazing" results also occur there. The difference is how other participants react to them. I could have said (after reading the description) that there was nothing "complicated" about it, that there simply wasn't enough time (although that does happen), and so on, while making a very intelligent face, or I could have just kept quiet. Ultimately, these are my problems, and there's no need for others to know about them.
I value directness and sincerity in people. Otherwise, we'll all go our separate ways and look at each other suspiciously – that's not for me.
You're reacting more to the reaction of other strong players to the high result than to the result itself. There wouldn't have been such a reaction on NR, hence your conclusion.
