"FAVORITES IN BATTLE - III"

This is the first time I've seen the top teams from each group play against each other in the playoff stage. What's the point of me playing a match for 1st place, with the organizer's permission, when he knew about it, if it doesn't actually decide anything for the organizers... Basically, according to these rules, I could have not played the last 2 games at all; what difference would it have made, since they didn't decide anything.
