Sacred Haven of Debauchery

I decided to reminisce about the good old days and play Heroes of Might and Magic III. First, I started a game as Necropolis against Haven. As my main hero, I chose a Death Knight out of habit. The AI chose a Knight. "Great," I thought, "an easy win." I killed the Knight three times, leveled up my Death Knight to level 8, and then the situation changed. I attacked the Haven base, and a bunch of militia wiped out all my units. I lost due to a lack of gold.

The second time, I decided to play as Haven against Necropolis. I chose a Paladin. I don't remember who the AI chose. Anyway, I lost again. My lone Paladin ran around the map, shouting about faith and the people, and killed a couple of Ogres. I got bored and quit.
