I watched two movies, but I didn't really enjoy either of them, which is why I didn't want to write anything at first.
American Psycho (2000) - I laughed a couple of times, but I didn't feel anything else while watching it. I felt like the director was trying to say something to me, but I couldn't figure out what it was. Then I googled it and found a few explanations, but the most plausible one seemed to be that the film wanted to satirize yuppies, a phenomenon of the 80s in the USA. I'm not sure why anyone would be interested in that in 2000, let alone outside the USA. Then I also read an article about the original book on Lurkmore (it randomly appeared in the Google search) - it was simply written under the influence of substances and definitely didn't have any subtext, so that's clear.
Brazil (1985) - I expected a dystopia, but I got a dystopian comedy. It's a pretty interesting take on the genre, but I didn't really like it in the end. Most of the jokes are pretty flat, although I did laugh once during the film. The film is 2 hours long, but it was more enjoyable to watch than "American Psycho," probably because "Brazil" has a very clear plot, while "American Psycho" doesn't. Overall, despite the feeling that it was too long, I watched it without much dislike. It's watchable, but nothing more. The ending was disappointing; spoiler: and no, it wasn't the twist at the end, it was pretty good, but I was disappointed by how drawn out it was and the too obvious hints that it was all a dream.

By the way, if anyone can handle "Brazil" by Terry Gilliam, 1976 as far as I remember, then they deserve a solid five.

Should I tell you what the film is about? Or my opinion about the film? I just don't like the word "tell" in principle, and from your words, I didn't quite understand whether you watched it or are asking for advice on whether to watch it or not.
It's a bit boring. 7/10, and that's being generous. It's well-shot. There are a lot of different images, like Tuttle disappearing under a pile of papers, but they're boring. That's my personal opinion. Or rather, it's not the images themselves that are boring, but the atmosphere they're placed in.

I wish I could be as intellectual as Wistrit someday...
