Artifacts lose their value due to repetition. Three (ambiguously) Traveler's Boots, two Rings of Kinship with Machines, three domestic cigar cases, three... No Portal to the city. The monks are waiting for a "true hero" and will only give him the Lion's Crown or join him; I don't remember which. Seriously, a *true* hero? The game ended not with an interesting battle, but by taking an empty city and killing a gnome without an army. I liked the gnome part of the map, the battle with the Necromancer, and the main gnomes.
