The Jehovah's Witnesses tried to recruit me several times. They had all sorts of conversations with me, asked questions that I didn't even know how to answer. I even went to one of their meetings. And they probably would have succeeded because I didn't know anything about sects at the time when I first met them, or maybe it wasn't the first time, but it was the first time they took a serious interest in me. I was already planning to attend their meetings regularly, thinking about what they were trying to convince me of, but fortunately, I told my colleagues about my encounter at work, and to my surprise, they strongly advised me against it, saying that they wouldn't want to lose me. I was very surprised by their words, but they told me some strange things about them, and these were very respectable people. And I listened to them. I read about the Jehovah's Witnesses on the internet and went to the meeting just because I had promised, knowing that I wouldn't join.
