Noobishness seasoned with a dose of bad luck.
For 2 weeks I was confidently outperforming the opponent in one-unit counts, and then he somehow managed to snag Intelligence with his mother at basic Wisdom. He never upgraded Wisdom. Then for 2 days straight, I wasn't fast enough on my turn to eat the opponent's Dragon Utopia. In the end, I left myself exposed in the city.
