I'll share a strategy for capturing an outpost with the Tome of Darkness. The trick is to spend as little mana as possible because after capturing the outpost, you'll have to fight the general and then capture the castle (now as Chaos). Leveling up will grant "Secret Advantage" (+100 mana) and a skilled Chaos unit.
