Sacred Haven of Debauchery

Guys, tell me, is it common for people to take vacations at the end of June and the beginning of August? This is the second time I've encountered a long queue at McDonald's. Where do they all come from, and why are they always with kids? And, most importantly, there's nothing to do in this area, no entertainment venues. Except for the ice rink, but no one goes there in the summer. It's as if all the residents of the surrounding apartment buildings have taken a vacation and are going to McDonald's for lunch.
