Marey didn't have to think long about what to focus on this week. The purpose of his stay here was already waiting for the student. As he headed to the location of the magic lesson, Marey repeatedly replayed the agonizing thought of choosing a specialization in his mind: despite his considerable knowledge of magic, he still hadn't come any closer to making a decision. The greedy young man wanted everything, and he wanted it as quickly as possible. He understood perfectly well that such unrestrained desires would only push him further away from his goal, and this, combined with the nervous anticipation of the first lesson, was driving him crazy. Again and again, he reminded himself that such anxieties were harmful, even inappropriate for him, and he repeatedly told himself about the importance of a cool head, and finally, having exhausted the capabilities of his nervous system, he still brought himself back to equilibrium with a conscious effort. He had already opened the door to the classroom, albeit with trepidation in his soul, but with a clear mind and a steady hand.
