The 8th stage of the annual John Van Caneghem Tournament (2007).

Hero Malcolm (level 6 Diplomacy expert + pathfinding). Supporting hero Lord Haart (the one who is alive), he has a level 5 Diplomacy expert skill. Haart has a good set of skills including Diplomacy, Pathfinding, and Navigation, but with this setup, it takes a long time to reach expert-level Diplomacy.

For the report, please upload the save file before joining Gargon here. I'd like to see what they might surrender on the second week. My army composition was as follows on the third week during scouting:
Snakes Up = 18
Basilisks Up = 17
Hydras = 4
Pegasi Up = 36
Wyverns Up = 8
Gargoyles Up = 12
Sorcerer = 1

I tried removing one slot (except for the Sorcerer) - no luck - the bastards didn't surrender.
