Sacred Haven of Debauchery

How are things with the pigeons? I mean, the birds. I've noticed an incredible number of dead birds in the last month – about half a dozen each week, and that's in different areas. About ten percent of them are on or near roads, and the rest are just scattered around. And today, I was walking and almost stepped on one – it was sitting huddled near a pedestrian path and didn't even flinch. It looked like a junkie, to be honest. I think the numerous emissions in Moscow and the surrounding area are finally having an impact, and the wildlife is dying in real time. I've never seen anything like this before.
