It played out so-so, there was no gold. But there were 2 cons on the wasteland, so I ran for them. By week 2 I had 5 angels, and I was leveling Brissa and Grindan. I also finally built the birdhouses in the castle. On week 3 I ran to the treasure area the opponent had set his sights on. There I collected a lot of hives and took Utopia 1 with nothing. On week 4 I tried to squeeze the opponent, but it turned out he had almost cleared the treasure areas I was aiming for. A war began over the last treasure area in the desert. We cleared it halfway. I found a quest skull helmet there. With AOTD I would have won under the KS. I just couldn't find AOTD, even though I checked the native trader over two months and 3 external traders. Of the artifacts, I only had the shield. There were also ribs lying out of reach. Realizing that I was about to be squeezed out of all my castles one by one, I surrendered.
