As I understand it, you're not talking about hacking the game, but about configuring specific heroes when creating a map using the map editor. This can't be detected with a sniffer. It's best to just ask the map author about it. A sniffer only scans the save file for standard cheats. :D :D
You misunderstood. After I figured out where the taverns and heroes in them are located in the save file – just to check if I'm looking for the right hero, maybe he's in someone else's tavern – and also because my "excavator" isn't working, I realized that there's no point in manually adding the hero I want to a tavern. However, I'm not completely clueless and I understand that this could give me an unfair advantage in the game, i.e., adding a hero who shouldn't be available in that situation. Besides, they could easily catch me doing this, even without a sniffer. I've already made my position on hacking clear. I can (can, but doesn't mean I do) only modify things that save real time and don't give me an unfair advantage in the game, things that can't be realistically achieved in the game. Naturally, this kind of modification won't be detected, so the logic is that if I was able to figure this out, then someone else probably figured it out a long time ago and is already using it. Regarding this topic, I'm still hoping to get the "excavator" working. I think it's more reliable. There's basically no room for error there. With manual modification, you can make mistakes. So, it requires careful checking and accuracy, which takes a lot of mental effort, and nerve cells don't regenerate. :)

I thought you were over it... But no! :( Let's try a different approach... :D Iron - the hero you need will appear in the tavern through the "excavator"; in the worst case, it will cost you 2500 gold, which isn't critical... Why hack the save file for this?
Well, when "excavating," you usually get (if it's not a weekly event) 2500 gold anyway. My questions started after unsuccessful attempts to get the "excavator" working
