The regulations will be finalized before the start of the tournament. The following changes are currently being considered: 1. Definitely: one spot in the Final Battle should be reserved for the winner of the Novice tournament, provided they have a rating of 1750+. This means that there will be one fewer slot for the Open Final Battle. However, if the Novice does not meet the rating requirement, nothing will change for the Open Final Battle. The deadline for this is before the qualifying matches (it will depend on the Novice how many qualifying pairs we will have).
This is not mandatory; I simply didn't include the quota initially, but it will be there. The issue is the rating requirement:rolleyes:
I'm saying this because I believe that even if a novice meets the rating requirement, it might still be too early for them to compete in a tournament with the strongest players (this effectively means one less slot for a very strong player).
