Tell me in a private message – how can you play for stakes if:
a) it is known that a maphack exists,
b) it is known that no one is going to fight it,
c) you yourself play without a maphack.
What's the point?

And what's the point of playing for stakes if the opponent might not pay up? :D

Perhaps it's because the amounts are small, and the opponent, who is usually a well-known player, won't risk their reputation for 300-500 rubles. Playing for money against a no-name is not very smart; such stories have surfaced on the forum several times.
