Favorites, to battle! - 11 - The Battle of Favorites! - 11

Nimbus joined, a distant outpost of the Minotaurs. A good setup, with a single consulate in front of the computer-controlled town. I spotted the opponent nearby and started rushing. I reached the opponent's captured computer-controlled town only on day 121. On day 122, he tried to flank me, but I still managed to reach him through a split. I lost an angel, but I killed almost everything. I secured a level 3 consulate near the town and went to finish him off. The opponent summoned angels. But I thought I had him cornered in a corner village. Turns out it wasn't a corner village (a bugged passage leading to his spawn point?). While I was dealing with the computer-controlled units and the level 3 consulate, a Death Knight from the shadows took the town. I placed a horseman with all my might in the passage. I didn't calculate that 2 angels on the Death Knight would break through so easily. I should have placed a horseman with at least 20 mana, not 10. The opponent didn't have enough mana to kill my entire army with ranged units buffed with oil. I didn't surrender myself, thus preventing the Death Knight from advancing further, and the opponent had to retreat. In the end, the opponent was left with almost no army, with only 1 castle against my 6 (including a Necropolis with a Capitol and a stronghold). The opponent decided not to continue. Gundula would likely have taken his last town on the next turn. I played the second part of the game poorly, relying on the fact that I had cornered him. Thank you for the game!
