Adelaide, there are already 5 people "for" it. So, we'll play without diplomacy and recruitment. Although, we can play with diplomacy, but we'll refuse recruitment (diplomacy will only be needed to reduce the ransom cost).
BUT: If the map design includes quests or a scenario that depends on recruiting monsters (for example, a map where the quest involves 2 Rust Dragons behind Black Knights), then such monsters CAN be recruited.
I ask for Adelaide's final word and what she thinks about all this. I agree that the creators invented this skill (diplomacy) for a reason. But this game was originally made for single-player, not for tournaments. So, they won't be too upset with us. ;)
And I am AGAINST it!!! Banning diplomacy... after all, it is part of the game and strategy... but in my case, yes, I should have refused them... but at that moment, I didn't even bother with it... Just refusing recruitment.
