Dove into the nearest town at the beginning of the second week. Turns out, there's about 3 days of travel between each town. And on the last stretch, there's still that same church. Andra was already leveled up to an Earth expert, so just standing there suited me (I was in the church, the opponent was at home), as it blocked the opponent's main hero from leveling up. We stood opposite each other for almost a week. I had a stronger economy (at least, I thought so). On day 131, I attacked. Andra had a larger mana pool and army. The castle didn't save him.
