8/10. At first, it seemed a bit empty, lifeless, and primitive, but quite soon it revealed its soul, and then they added a plot. Excellent direction, engaging bitmap combat, fascinating side content, and a great soundtrack. Some moments are a bit too drawn out, which isn't great, but overall it's good. The fishing, however, is just pointless.
I also really enjoyed it, and I just finished Kiwami 1 a few minutes ago... after almost a month-long break. The first game, although not bad in itself, seemed worse than the second in every way. The story isn't as engaging, the characters aren't as interesting, and many moments are either too drawn out or just not very well done. I'd also like to highlight the second-to-last boss in the game - without going into details, I'll say that it's just bullsh*t, not good design. It's as if they took all the memes about the evil GM Revan, multiplied them several times, and put the result in charge of the project. And the ending was disappointing.
And since we're talking about this series, I'll post one of the most memorable moments (although without voice acting) and tracks here. It contains a slight spoiler.
Just music that motivates you to grind that sh*t dungeon.
