I can't really comment on whether it's true or false, as I'm not very familiar with this topic. From what I know, if you look at the chemical composition of baking soda and organic baking soda, you'll see that the percentages don't quite match up (I even found a table comparing them). So there is a difference. The question is whether it matters to the body...

For example, I found that after about a fifth of a teaspoon, even after neutralizing the baking soda and using the correct method, it started to make things worse. Also, organic baking soda has a limited shelf life, while regular baking soda has an unlimited shelf life or a very long one, as stated on the packaging.
