Demon invasion.

Here, on all maps, there are mentors – in the first half of the first map, there aren't any, but the defense is terrible. In the second, the demon group has a truly nightmarish setup. I'm currently playing through the third map; I've already defeated the Knight and am almost done with the Necropolis. The main hero can defeat enemies in direct combat, but it's not worth it – everything is lost except for the Succubi and Demons.
