Is there an update from version 3.0 (3.1) to version 4.0?
This is, of course, a double post, but since nothing is clear, I will quote myself:

Undoubtedly, the Platinum Collection (4.0) is 100% compatible with The Shadow of Death 3.2. Moreover, if it doesn't connect from Platinum to Platinum, there are fewer problems with The Shadow of Death – it is more compatible with Platinum than Platinum itself!
Seriously – this has been verified through personal experience!
P.S. As for 3.0 and 3.1, they definitely don't connect – it immediately displays a message saying that the version is incompatible with... and so on.
Vitalik, we've played together many times, I on The Shadow of Death, you on Platinum.
The difference: Platinum still has all the bugs, but The Shadow of Death doesn't. There is no Russian font (The Shadow of Death), the opponent's mana is not visible during the battle, and much more.
This is possible thanks to the patch:
