Hmm. You write that HotA is just a modern mod. In response, I'm telling you that the HD mod is also just a modern mod. But you didn't suggest earlier that we change the name of the CIS Championship in Heroes 3 to the HD-mod Heroes 3 championship...
As for the comfort of the Gameplay — HotA is an excellent addition in terms of fixing SoD bugs/road blocks/and other things. I don't play it myself and don't intend to — but I perfectly understand why and for what reason people are switching to it.
But the thing is, the game with HD-mod is also already a somewhat different game than the standard classic SoD...
