Map Name: Limes Inferior I initially tried playing with the +8 attack bonus, but the generation got completely stuck when transitioning from day 7 to day 8 (the desired Dragon didn't appear in the tavern). So, I tried playing with the cow bonus, and I was surprised how much better it is in terms of tempo compared to the attack bonus. Also, in this save, Cypska visited our respawn point during the transition from day 1.4.4 to 1.4.5, so it's a good thing I didn't focus on the attack bonus.
I told you, but no one believed me) Marlo_Stanfield
On the 4th week, I generated with +5 cows, captured the right town with minor losses, and that's when the opportunity arose to use the overpowered strategy from wenwell's map "Break in One Day." Under certain conditions, a small group of archers and flyers can destroy a physically superior opponent who doesn't use ranged attacks or cast offensive spells with minimal losses. The respawn point is completely cleared, including Griffins, Rocs, Hydras, and Wyvern Monarchs. Cypska attacks from the right, but we don't rush to drive her away; we wait for 2.1.1.
By day 141, I have completely cleared all respawn points. On day 141, I captured the Citadel village. On day 211, I broke through the swamp garrison and captured the computer's swamp up to the snake upgrade. After that, I didn't see any particular difficulties. If I have time, I might finish the map someday because to achieve a good result, I would have to replay it from scratch, as I chose a very unfortunate skill tree. Marlo_Stanfield
After that, there's a long period of farming an army for the final battle. I tried it on the 9th month, but I couldn't manage it. So, I broke through on the 10th month.
Well, a few months of farming Necro-flesh will definitely allow you to handle the battle. Although, I planned to win it earlier by using snakes from three castles. I really don't like these maps where you just have to sit and accumulate resources. Everyone understands that they can be completed; the question is only about the game time. Marlo_Stanfield
In general, the playthrough turned out to be somewhat experimental, with bug-exploiting strategies in a couple of battles with neutrals, and a lot of grinding with weeks and months of monsters, but overall, it's viable. Each map has its own methods. I recommend playing this map only to hardcore masochists :smile11: I wanted to record the battle with wolves on 1.3.7, as I think I found morale for cows in rounds 1 and 2 on a fixed random, but when I started recording, I realized that I didn't find it :D
What was so difficult about that battle? I completed it on day 133, and it didn't cause any problems at all; I don't even remember the strategy. In general, all the battles at the respawn points went without any problems, all without losing any key units, without any difficult generation. wenwell
The author should have added a limit of 10 months, based on your result; I think that would be perfect :smile04:
