There is definitely a difference between Discord and the forum, and it's quite significant: if the forum is, let's say, an official establishment where all players are currently present. It's obvious that HW simply must have strict moderation; otherwise, it will be anarchy, which could lead to the community falling apart.
Of course, Discord also has its own laws, norms, and rules of communication, BUT, it's obvious that in the segmented "FLOOD" section (from the English word "flow"), they don't apply and shouldn't apply. This place is nothing more than a tavern where many tipsy guys just blurt out whatever comes to mind. Besides, for many, this channel is nothing more than a "chat simulator." Why not? Kappa

And yes, those who are so unhappy with Peterius can simply mute him in their own channel, and that's it, the problem is solved.

Let's go back to the beginning.
First of all, no one forces you to read this flood. Just mute this channel completely and don't worry, because important information will still be announced on HW or in a moderated Discord channel.
Secondly, as you have already understood, Discord was not created in opposition to the forum, but as a support, an international messenger for connecting with people. And this problem has been completely solved - a channel called "Let's arrange a game" has been created; those who need it will use it.
