Path of the Fallen

I played until the point where 20 druids and about 20,000 archers guard the captive, and I only have one succubus. So, is it normal that the number of creatures (even a simple merchant) grows exponentially across the map over time, while the succubus remains alone with those knights? And there isn't even a building anywhere to hire more of her companions, so the quest can be completed? Of course, no new dialogue option appeared with the guard, so I had to fight. After 5-7 long attempts, I reduced the guard's army to just one druid, successfully charmed him, but nothing happened. So, I spent 3 days playing, but due to the stupidity and incompetence of the author, the walkthrough got stuck at the most idiotic point, and I can't move forward.
