Therefore, when we tell them to put up with this, we not only deceive them, we become accomplices of the godless aristocrats in their sin!

Achelsius listened attentively to Lariel's emotional speech, without interrupting and trying to remember all the key points.
—But have you forgotten that the ways of the Guide are inscrutable, and it is not for us, her humble servants, to decide how she judged the trials for ordinary people. Time is able to move mountains, turn cities to dust, dry up rivers, grow forests. When our faith first reached the kingdoms, we could not even object to the aristocrats. But now we are important and valuable assistants to them, and the representatives of the nobility are gradually adopting our values and precepts. The time will come, and they will allow new reforms, soften the laws, go to meet ordinary people, and they will respond to them with a sincere desire to work diligently, learn, and work. We can indeed change this world for the better, but only by patiently and steadily instilling our views, and not by aimlessly shedding blood and the madness of rebellion. Of course, we are still very far from achieving this goal. But even now, a positive effect can be observed.
