After a brief exchange of greetings with her fellow believers, Ahelsia was granted an audience with the head of the local Ikigai church. Her name was Mirina, and in addition to her other duties, she also held the position of chaplain in the Silvergard Council – the spiritual guide of the county, an expert in matters of faith and relations with Astromeria.
“Followers of the true Path are always welcome in the halls of Enlightenment,” Mirina greeted Ahelsia with a gesture customary for Ikigai followers.
“Thank you for such a warm welcome and for the honor of meeting you in person, Sister Mirina,” Ahelsia replied with a memorized, respectful greeting. “I must admit, I am delighted to see the amazing spiritual heights that the people of this city have achieved thanks to your and other servants’ dedicated work. However, I will not bore you with mundane conversations, as I see, Teacher, that you still have much to accomplish. Therefore, I have come here. It would be my greatest joy to serve the church in this city, and so I would like to know if there is any work available for a humble and obedient servant of the Teacher.” He finished his speech, placing his hand over his heart.
