Rating system for online games in Heroes of Might and Magic IV.

Situation: I say I'm going to crush everyone, and they respond with posts. Then I withdraw from the tournament, warning the organizer. And who will get extra negative points? The one who hoped until the very end to play at least one match with someone at the tournament?

So, what will you achieve with this approach? If I were to consider such a situation, I would immediately deduct 100 rating points. But a normal person would probably let it go because they're not the only one playing – they'll find someone else if needed.
However, what could really discourage someone from participating is this, and that's not right... With your permission, I'd rather focus on this thought because I'm only a proponent of competition, meaning the more participants, the better... :)

P.S. I received the email, but it seems like there's not much in it... Iron, approximately how many lines are there, or better yet, do you remember the size in megabytes?
