I ended up in the center on a tiny spawn. There was a road straight to the adjacent zone and an unguarded adjacent zone between them. As a result, Necropolis came, and I bet on them. Clavius didn't get any land; instead, Sraker got it. After 4 heroes by week 1, I managed to spread out to 6 and have a somewhat decent army.
On day 123, my opponent attacked my Clavius, who was sitting and regenerating mana. It was the final showdown, where the opp managed to kill my Clavius while being left with 1 creature. It was already obvious that my end was likely near; I ran around a bit more, and realizing the futility of hope (plus the opponent killed my Sraker who had wandered into his territory), I surrendered. If I had managed to fend him off, I would have snowballed with the skeletons and the unrecruited army. But luck wasn't on my side.
