At first, I was also considering a Donar character and a Laithe character (although the latter was more of a backup option). But with Donar, I was thinking of a blacksmith with a very specific backstory, and none of the reasons I came up with for his arrival in Silvergard seemed quite right. Besides, the character's combat skills left much to be desired – apart from 15 strength, he had nothing to brag about, meaning he had a pretty good chance of dying. Of course, this is ignoring the fact that even standard-quality equipment would only be produced with a 50% chance, and with suitable runes, even less. And the intended backstory had a problem: the character had a clear and (relatively) achievable goal, and once he achieved it, there would be no reason for him to wander the world and risk his life. I just didn't feel like making a Donar warrior (the character turned out to be too "not-Donar"), although from a game mechanics perspective, it would have been the best option (more health and passive armor at the cost of potentially lower damage compared to Abigail). With the Laithe character, Lock beat me to it, creating a similar build. So, the only option left was Memas, and it was also easy to come up with a story for him.
