As one of our instructors used to say: "Guys, you're adults!" :) To perceive something humiliating in a standard phrase containing the word "please" requires a lot of effort. And for a psychologist, this would be a reason to analyze the personality of the person who said it (no, I'm not a psychologist). I don't want to say much, but I couldn't just ignore it. There are 2 (two) options for addressing someone: a request and an order. If the person you are addressing should do what you are asking, it's an order. If they shouldn't, it's a request. Obviously, the tournament organizer is not obligated to register everyone who wants to participate. Especially for those who are not satisfied with the current option, I suggest adding a button that says "I command you to register me for the tournament!" :)
